First Easter Egg Dyeing

Sam, Mac and I dyed Easter Eggs for the first time a few days before Easter. Since Mac loved looking in the cups of dye and dropping in eggs, we needed all available hands to keep the mess to a minimum! I could just see the beautiful turquoise carpet in the condo stained with a big red spot! haha Sure didn't want to be having to explain something like that to the rental association! (Oh, and the carpet isn't really beautiful; it is however, a rare shade of turquoise!) We had fun watching Mac, and Mac loved coloring the eggs and putting on stickers. He also loved playing with the eggs...we haven't gotten him to understand which are plastic and which are real!

Trying to get the dye tablets to dissolve.

Very interesting stuff happening in those cups

While waiting for the eggs to dry, Mac had the most fun with all the extra cups. Next time we can just bypass the dyeing and give him a pack of cups!

Trying to get the stickers to stick on the eggs and not his fingers.

Playing with the finished products

Aren't those great coloring masterpieces???

And here's how an egg looks after Mac is done playing with it...oops!
